Echuca is a small regional hospital, where many sick patients will get transferred to metro/bendigo hospital if needed. The HMO role was well supported with a registrar present, and a consultant as well who is there everyday who you can escalate to if needed. Progress notes etc. are on paper but everything else is on their EMR system which works well enough. I liked where I stayed (Georgian motor lodge) but it wouldn't be ideal for long term accommodation since there isn't a cooktop inside. Would recommend this placement! Echuca itself is quaint and lovely, be sure to catch the steamboat on the murray river.
