The Geris reg job at Bulli Hospital is 10/10. It is a monday-friday 8-4.30 position with no weekend shifts. You work with 2 junior doctors on a day-day basis and the Geriatricians round roughly twice a week on their patients. The medical, allied health and nursing teams are incredibly supportive and it is a lovely new hospital environment to work in. Consultants are always available via phone for any questions and if a patient is unwell, a clinical review call will bring support of doctors from the other wards. There is Xray available at Bulli but any other imaging requires transfer to Wollongong Hospital. Bloods are also sent to Wollongong Hospital for processing. Bulli Hospital is a 10 minute drive from Wollongong with plenty of beaches, bush walks, and cafes/restaurants to explore along the south coast. This was a particularly enjoyable rotation to have in summer!
