Overall - great placement The total workload and general work environment - It's alot, you have to know what you're doing. Who you worked with or under, including who you could escalate to for support, if applicable - You are the top - support is a phone call to Tamworth or John Hunter Hospitals A brief description of the daily workflow - at the mercy of emergency department presentations plus there are commitments on the ward, to cover those patients whose doctors are away Their IT systems (iEMR, Powerchart, Medtasker etc) or lack thereof - We used Medchart and CAP The pros and cons of where you stayed - pro pro pro - ots brand new doctors quarters, felt like a holiday Whether you would recommend the role to other doctors - yes if they have the experience and grit to take on a bit of a challenge, need the confidence Your favourite non-clinical thing about the placement - it was jacaranda season, plus the people, lovely people there, oh and the nurses, great team. My bit - you need a simple locum handover sheet, 1 side A4 with useful numbers, structure of where you sit in the heirarchy, lab hours, imaging hours etc...
