ED SRMO day shift run: Supportive FACEMs who were open to questions and always easily found in the department. The weekend I worked was comparatively quiet (According to FACEMs on) and as a result the workload was quite light. Demographic of patients coming in seemed to include those who were quite high risk in terms of comorbidities and community engagement, and as a result the acuity was quite high - patient stability over the course of a shift was quite dynamic and frequently resulted in transfers from acute beds to resus within a couple of hours. Again, FACEMs quite quick to jump in and support in these situations. Team vibes were positive. Overall I enjoyed this placement and would return again!
