January 2022Regular locum ED SRMO 2020-2022 Tamworth will always be let down by its accommodation which is a shame as it's a well-run ED with incredible support for the locum. Fast track and acute areas both with multiple FACEMs on during the day, all who really support the locums because they depend on them and know they have to. Treated me like a regular member of the team and got to know me despite very much on and off shifts. CT and pathology 24 hours, plenty of other locums to chat to and generally a really nice environment and team to work in. The downside is it is generally very busy, and the accommodation for short stints can be shared bathroom style but for longer runs you can get put in a townhouse on your own which is quite homely and right near the hospital. Recommended.

February 2022Lovely ED to work in. Would definitely go back. Consultants are very supportive and good case mix. ED is nice and clean and feels good. Have heard that some of the accommodation can be horrible, however I was given my own apartment across the road and it had all the basics you’d need.
